The positives were that breakfast was good! When you are open to the religious aspects it was very valuable! Our pater was a very correct man who knew how to deal with all kinds of guests! The negatives were none.

The positives were that everything in Maria Laach is special. The negatives were that there were no directions.

The positives were that you sleep in a monastery, a place of calm, simple rooms, but thanks to the good catering you can just take your time and not worry about anything. At 8.15 a.m. there was a rich breakfast. At 12.00 p.m. lunch and in the evening another bread snack. It felt good to just not have to worry about anything.

The lakefront spot right next to the abbey was nice, and breakfast was just okay, but the price was way too high – 179 euros for one night!

We really enjoyed our stay; the other guests and the monks we interacted with were very friendly, and there was nothing else that needed mentioning.
