The hotel sits just across from Sonic, a little restaurant next door, and a dollar store behind Sonic, all within walking distance, which was convenient. However, the price hike was annoying—after arrival I was charged an extra $20, and the Wi‑Fi was terrible.

I stepped into my room at 5 pm in Texas during August and the place felt like an oven because the AC wasn’t running; I had to crank up the small, noisy unit, but even that barely cooled the room.
