“年越し花火に備え、御夫妻との再会、楽しくかつ便利な滞在でした。”
I stayed in room 202 (twin) for one night on 2025‑12‑29 (walk‑in, no reservation) and then in a single with bath and toilet for two nights from 12‑30 to 1‑1. The personality of Sampot and Asako, the couple running the place, made the stay enjoyable from the moment I arrived. The café next to the reception, run by Asako, served tasty cakes and drinks, and the milk tea, which I hadn't had in three years, was good and generous. On the 29th, I found a room available before I even checked, paid in cash on the spot, and the room was bright, with a shared terrace in front and a view from the room that felt very open and airy. The 2B room felt a bit tight, but that was comfortable for me. It had a shower toilet, a movable desk and chair, a safety box, and overall a good room. Sampot gave me great tips for firework viewing, and Asako talked about the hassles of living abroad, sharing a lot of useful stories. The time there was a fun stay. The hotel is slightly outside the tourist area, but the MRT station is close and commuting is not a problem. Depending on your sense, you can walk to the Chao Phraya River and take a boat to Icon Siam on the opposite bank. I stayed again because the New Year fireworks were the main reason. The shower pressure was weak, and the switch to turn on hot water is at a fairly high place, which might be difficult for shorter people. I’m 175 cm, so I felt it was a bit high. It’s not terrible, but it could be an issue for some. Also, the safety box in room 202 has a number dial that isn’t used; it’s opened with a key. The room key is bundled. Both room doors are “Kannon” style with chain and key from the inside, and there’s a vertical latch at the top and bottom; without it the door can be pushed in and becomes wobbly. These points should be noted. Also unrelated to the hotel, the firework viewing point at Panuanzee Pier was good, but I was moved before viewing. The same happened at other piers on New Year’s Eve 2025. If you want to see fireworks side‑by‑side, you need to be opposite Icon Siam; otherwise you only see one column of fireworks, which looks like a single launch.
