“An affordable apartment with friendly hosts.”

I booked a two‑person apartment for a cheaper price, but two friends joined at the last minute. The hosts agreed to let us four stay for a small extra fee, even though the place actually sleeps five. There are two single beds in one bedroom and a single plus a king‑size bed in the other. My girlfriend and I shared the king, so one bed was free. All mattresses were old but solid. I asked why the listing capped occupancy at four; the host said five would feel cramped, especially in the kitchen, and that extra guests would get some discomfort. They do allow five for a small extra fee, but warn about the tightness. Maybe next time we’ll come as a group of five.

The location is super convenient for driving to Laško. The apartment sits on the ground floor of an old private house, with free parking right at the entrance. There’s also free parking at the thermal park, near the castle, and not far from the center. We wanted to explore Celje in the morning and weren’t sure exactly when we’d arrive. The hosts offered to leave the key in the safe and let us drop in anytime. We sent ID photos and got the safe code, so we never actually met the hosts. Still, the apartment had everything we needed and our questions were answered on WhatsApp. If we go back to Laško, we’ll definitely stay here again.
