The lakeside setting was dreamlike, yet it felt more like a conference venue. The dining options, contrary to the ads, were limited to a single choice and were very plain, far from typical of the region. Breakfast was acceptable. The front desk could not provide information about hiking routes or local attractions.

You can walk around nicely, but staying there is only for losing weight. We booked assuming there would be a restaurant on site, especially since there were no other eating places nearby. We relied on that, but the owner shut the restaurant down because supposedly there were too few guests.

The surroundings were superb, the atmosphere was great, and the staff were nice.

“A few simple nights close to nature”

The location was gorgeous for the price, and while the rooms were basic they were sufficient for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast, though simple, offered the expected variety. The toilets and showers were in the corridor, not in the rooms; this wasn’t a problem for us because there weren’t many other occupied rooms, but it could get crowded in peak season. I didn’t have trouble sleeping, but some friends had issues with the pillows and mattress.
