Nice location, friendly staff, comfortable beds, and very clean rooms with nice tiled showers. The whirlpool bathtubs were a bit dated but clean. I’m not usually one to complain, but the toilet paper holder had broken handles, there was no hot water for the tub because the hot water handle was missing, and we were put in this room. We moved to a better room, but the lock on the door broke and we got locked out. We had to walk 1.5 miles round‑trip to get help getting into the room because there was no answer on the phone. Check‑in and breakfast were 0.7 miles away. Parking was cramped with rough gravel on the uphill driveway. Climate control wasn’t available in the rooms (windows were hard to open and there were no A/C units).

The property staff tried to persuade us into accepting a lower‑quality room by promising a larger bed, which I didn’t appreciate, especially after seeing the alternative rooms in the other, less appealing properties.

The building’s old charm was a bit surprising, but it stayed spotless and had all the essentials. Walking to any nearby spot was a breeze.
