Un séjour formidable dans un lieu chargé d’histoire, Martial a le sens de l’hospitalité et de la convivialité, on se sent vite à l’aise, et on profite du lieu et des repas (généreux et de qualité) en sa compagnie.

It was really fun staying at Martial's home. He is a great host - a lot of fun and very generous. The evening meal, served with lots of wine, and the breakfast were both excellent. The rooms were gorgeous - stylishly done and we were particularly impressed with the excellent plumbing in a house that is over 400 years old! Lovely seating areas outside, and a log fire in the very grand drawing room. Martial was very flexible - he was happy for us to arrive early and then left us to our own devices as he had to go out for a couple of hours. He was very gracious when he discovered that we had eaten most of the bread for dinner, thinking it had been left out for us as an afternoon snack. Nothing

The place was quiet, welcoming, and overall a pleasant experience.

The host was friendly, and the room and building had a genuine character. We could enjoy a cozy Table d'hôte and communication before our stay was smooth via WhatsApp. A small shop (Carrefour) was close by, but we needed a car. We had hoped to enjoy the garden and pool given the good weather, but the garden was messy—dogs left various “surprises” on the lawn that weren’t cleaned up. The pool could use a bit more finishing. There were almost no restaurants nearby, most only open on weekends, so Table d'hôte was a good option.

The welcome from Martial and the 15‑meter pool were highlights.
