“A Cozy and Memorable Stay”

I had a wonderful stay at Lalibela Hidmo Cozy Place. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing. The location was also very convenient for exploring Lalibela and its beautiful surroundings. I really appreciated the hospitality and genuine care given to guests, especially Eshetu. He was there for everything we needed, from taking us to different restaurants for dinner to helping arrange our tour. His kindness and hospitality made me feel like I was staying at a relative’s house rather than a hotel. Desta’s wife also made delicious breakfast for us. The personal attention and warm hospitality were truly exceptional definitely 5-star customer service. Thank you so much for making our stay so enjoyable and memorable. We will definitely recommend Lalibela Hidmo Cozy Place to everyone!. The only thing I didn’t like? Having to leave! 😄

“Perfekter Aufenthalt im familiären Umfeld”

We had a grandiose stay! The room and the balcony view are unique, and we really enjoyed the great and authentically Ethiopian ambience. After being picked up from the airport, we were first served a delicious Ethiopian meal at the hotel. Eshetu takes care of us very much and on the first day briefly guided us through the city and to a viewpoint, so we found our way around well in the following days. Breakfast was delicious and very varied. The room was very clean. Eshetu also arranged a guide for the rock churches, a tuk‑tuk to the restaurant, and a day hike. The hike with Misfin to the Asheton Mariam monastery and to the Blood‑Chest Apes was especially beautiful and made our stay in Lalibela unforgettable. We met nice people and always felt safe. Next time we’ll come back to Hidmo Cozy! Everything was great.

“Tu segunda casa en Lalibela”

It is a self‑run accommodation. Desta and his whole family were extremely kind and helpful. When we arrived they welcomed us with a complimentary local lunch and were available throughout to serve us whatever we wanted. Also, Desta is a great guide for the church complex, knows everything about Lalibela in detail, and speaks excellent English. Amazing views. The location is secluded a few blocks from the center, but 15 minutes on foot from the churches. The room was spacious and very comfortable, with a balcony overlooking the mountains. Excellent hot water shower. Good homemade breakfast. I liked everything. The breakfast could be a bit more complete, but it’s fine.

“Beautiful”

My favourite place I stayed in Ethiopia. View from my room was extraordinary and the hotel was beautiful and peaceful. My hosts were great and made delicious breakfast every morning and gave me lunch on two occasions, inviting me to join in with their feast after a long period of fasting. The WiFi was good and there was a good shower with hot water. The room was spotless and I was offered daily cleaning as well. Really wonderful experience, would highly recommend if you’re in Lalibela

Lalibela Hidmo Cozy Place ist ein echter Geheimtipp und gleicht einer Oase inmitten den Bergen von Lalibela unweit der Felsenkirche entfernt. Das Zimmer ist sehr sauber und gemütlich eingerichtet. Vom Balkon hat man einen atemberaubenden Fernblick. Am besten mit einer leckeren Tasse frischer Ingwertee von Desta :-) Desta ist ein außerordentlich engagierter, hilfsbereiter und zuvorkommender Gastgeber, der uns bedingungslos bei allem unterstützt und lecker bewirtet hat, Wir haben uns bei ihm und seiner Familie sehr sehr wohl und willkommen gefühlt. Diese außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft ist für uns nicht selbstverständlich wissen wir von Herzen zu schätzen! Desta hat uns einen einmaligen und unvergesslichen Aufenthalt bereitet! Er, seine Familie und Lalibela Hidmo Cozy Place sind ein echtes, seltenes Fundstück!. Es gibt nichts, was uns nicht gefallen hat :-)
