The location is great if you want a quiet stay, right next to Arashiyama attractions. Train and bus stops are nearby, and Lawson is within walking distance. The hotel is clean and well maintained with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay.

The hotel is close to 渡月橋 and the location is quiet, which was good. The room was well considered for traveling with a pet, and there were no particular problems during our stay. However, the road in front of the hotel is narrow and there is no dedicated parking, so large families might find it a bit troublesome to move luggage. Because the hotel is next to a river, insects and spiders were seen in the hallway to the room, so those who are sensitive should be cautious. The hot water sometimes became slightly lukewarm, but since we stayed in summer it was not an issue.

The hotel is close to 渡月橋, and I was pleased that bread was provided in the morning. I would have liked the shortcut to 渡月橋 to have lighting at night so it could be used safely, although I understand that few shops in Arashiyama stay open at night.

The breakfast was included, which was good. The sleeping area was on the ground outside the room, which was a bit awkward. I guess it was designed that way because I was traveling with a dog.

I really liked the room and the bed was very comfortable. I particularly liked that the entry to the room was on concrete, because ~ Rain, and I liked that the bed and the rest of the room was elevated. It really helped keep things clean and tidy. The bed was probably one of the best I've slept on while in Japan. I was there for a month and had several different places I stayed so it was easy to compare. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. Relative to all the 4 other places I stayed, this was easily the worst. Every day it was three different bread options and this really surprised me, especially considering the cost of the stay. I realize to some this may be a non issue but when you've seen the standard elsewhere on repeat, it was such a bummer
