“Villa on beach was nice and quiet. That was about it. We spent all our time resort hopping.”
The villa on the beach is nice, with a good pool. Construction is currently underway, so the villa keeps being raised; I had to keep asking housekeeping for things that should have been automatically provided or done, and the cleaning job was not great. The restaurant on the water added a 10 % “dock” fee and a 15 % resort fee on top of the 12.5 % VAT. Food was good but expensive, and then another 37 % on top of the meal—ridiculous! There was no vibe at the resort, it was not friendly, and there were no activities—actually boring compared to other resorts we visited.
