“Amazing family stay on Phou Quok”

A very friendly, helpful family business with 5 rooms, a massage service, and a shop. A small kitchen is easily accessible. The sea is a 7‑10 minute walk away. The garden, decorations, and daily new plants/flowers were a delight. The owner’s taste and passion shone through. Healthy teas and treats were offered. The staff were very generous. They set up a New Year table for us; we celebrated, sang, and opened envelopes with wishes. My warmest and best Asian New Year! I was asked to cancel my booking. Payment could only be made in cash or at the shop with an extra 4%. One small room near the kitchen has no view and a constant water leak. All windows face the busy yard.

“Minimum facilities and comfort but the host might make up for it with their welcoming nature”

The host was great, but the room was tiny and the AC barely worked.

The massages were the best on the island and the owner was friendly, yet everything else was awful. I don’t understand the positive reviews because the hotel sits at a crossroads with terrible acoustics, it’s extremely loud, the conditions are poor, there’s no bedding, an old quilt without a cover, only one pillow for two people, dirty fan covers, and a rat running along the corridor by the door. It’s just bad. I wouldn’t recommend it. The only good thing was the genius massage salon.

“Kombinator”

The owner canceled the booking. Despite a confirmed reservation, the owner called it off a few hours before arrival, claiming a booking error in the price, and offered a much higher rate than advertised. I don’t recommend it.
