Property is in need of major maintenance. Peeling paint cat hair broken doors and windows. Very poorly designed rooms. No place to park

The room and the pool. Stairs up to the room were a bit of a challenge for small dog and an 79 year old owner . We managed but I would rather not next time

The pool looked clean. Staying there was like being in someone's basement (it was that dim, damp and smelly) and had trinkets and old furnishings throughout. The bed was uncomfortable and the smell was so unpleasant despite the windows being opened and a small air cleaner going non-stop. When we went out for dinner we didn't want to go back. We sat outside for a while the next morning and the weather was great. It was definitely better sitting outside and it wasn't damp and dingy. There was a little basket left for us with some assorted chips and 2 donuts individually wrapped in plastic when we arrived. We thought we were getting a breakfast and later guessed that was it. Breakfast for 3 days. The great reviews that I read before I selected this place do not reflect this place at all. I didn't want others to be misled as well

We found the place cozy, charming, and the check‑in/check‑out process was smooth the whole time. Free parking right next to the mansions was a huge plus, especially since parking is hard to find in the area. The accommodation feels a bit dated, but that was advertised, so it didn’t bother us. We’d love to come back.

The location is a nice bit off the beaten track, yet it’s super convenient for visiting the “Cottages” on Bellevue Avenue and for starting the cliff walk.
