“Charming with character”
It’s a charming place with character, though it could use a refresh, and it’s not a generic tourist spot. The rooms have cute trinkets and paintings, and there are comfortable lounging spots inside and outside. It’s right on the beach, which explains the higher price, but it’s still one of the cheaper spots in the area. The soft sand beach is good for barefoot walking and is just over a mile long. The room comes with a refrigerator and microwave, which look old but work. Breakfast is nice but not overwhelming, featuring hard‑boiled eggs, 3 or 4 breads (coconut, banana, cinnamon each day), plenty of fresh fruit, and orange juice. Water pressure is weak, both inside and at the outdoor rinse spot. The town, not just individual sites, needs to spend money to clean trash from the entire beach; there’s a lot of trash mixed with seaweed just above the surf, and the area is marketed as mid‑to‑upper level for tourists, but the trash along the beach is just too much.
