The period property was lovely with beautiful grounds. The bed was super comfy and the room was a great size. It was lively to have different areas to sit in the property, and there was a lovely sheltered part of the garden. Nothing to dislike.

The continental breakfast selection was good. The room was nice with a comfy bed. It was convenient to help yourself to snacks in the breakfast room any time. The location was brilliant, with good train links to Liverpool central. Because our room was outside the main building, road noise could be heard. It wasn’t too much at night, but it was noisy early, so those who like to lay in might not find it ideal. I would have preferred a shower cubicle instead of a bath for convenience.

Breakfast was basic but very good and the location was good. Tiny issues like poor light in the bathroom and a sink that didn’t hold water, but nothing major.

I loved everything: the room and house were spotless, and the free food area for breakfast was amazing, with everything and more available 24/7 if you need it. I stayed with my dog and it wasn’t a problem; there were some areas to walk her for comfort breaks and a larger area up the road at a rugby club if needed. The host was very welcoming. Nothing to complain about.
