The breakfast was very good, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We liked the location; the lake is visible and you can reach the water in a minute. The room’s furnishings were basic and dated, and the size was small but adequate for us. It had a nice balcony with a lake view, but the room smelled a bit musty, so we had to keep the windows open for a while. A hotel nowadays shouldn’t have carpeted floors.

The location is good, the breakfast is plentiful, and the staff are very pleasant. The hallway and lift feel a bit dim.

A lovely traditional hotel. Clean and tidy. Breakfast was wonderful and set you up for the day. The staff were excellent and very friendly. The receptionist helped me sort out a problem with our car hire; she was really good. Nothing was too much to ask. Really made a great stay. Nothing was bad.
