The breakfast was plentiful and delicious.
The welcome, kindness, helpful advice, and smiles were all excellent.
“Charmant verblijf”
The owner was sincere, friendly, and genuinely interested in her guests; we were greeted with a drink and a pleasant chat upon arrival. The room was large, clean, and authentic, with lots of decoration, cushions, old furniture, dried flowers, and a bedspring that looked like it came straight out of a film—one could almost film a Louis de Funès movie here. The only downside was that the village had few dining options, though the bakery was fine.
The room was nice, especially the couch, and the decor was cool and cozy. However, the room itself smelled musty, had a lot of dust, and the towels didn’t feel fresh.
“Dans son charme”
The host was kind. The bed was too small, the decor was overwhelming and made me worry about breaking things, and the host’s words were everywhere—don’t do that. The village felt dead and you have to step back from everything.
