I booked a room in advance for a friend months ahead, but when we arrived we were directed to a different address, which is completely wrong. They forced the client to cancel the reservation because they raised the price from 101000₽ to 150000₽—an increase of 12,000₽, as they claimed. Since the client couldn’t find another hotel, we had to return to them for 150000₽. They blamed a glitch in Booking, and then added that the client was not checked in, calling us “scammers” and demanding we remove such people from Booking. This isn’t the first time this has happened in Armenia; they exploit the fact that Russian cards can’t be linked and the reservation can’t be paid in advance.

The front‑desk ladies were attentive and the rooms were clean. However, when we arrived the room we’d booked was occupied, so we were put in a hostel. After two nights there we moved back into the originally chosen room, but the price had gone up compared to what we’d booked earlier.
