The location was great, the room was spacious and spotless, the staff were friendly, and the food was tasty, but there was no generator when the power went out.

The place was quiet except for the dogs at night, and the 2 or 3 km drive down to the hotel from the village centre was a bit rough, but we got used to it.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Pelling, Sikkim, which offered a fantastic location with breathtaking mountain views. The hotel's food was prepared fresh and tasted amazing. Although the rooms were a bit cozy and warm, I felt that they could have been more comfortable, especially considering the cold weather. The hotel could have provided heating bags or mattresses to make the rooms more comfortable for guests.
