“Great location clean and super friendly owner!”

We enjoyed a great stay at this hotel; it’s simple yet very clean, and the beds are large. The AC functions well. It’s situated right in front of the beach and all the small fish restaurants, so you only need to cross the street to eat fresh fish on the beach. The room was spotless, and the owner was extremely helpful and welcoming with all our requests. We actually returned to this place after spending two nights in Hikkaduwa.

“Unpleasant room in an unpleasant area.”

The staff were friendly, and there’s a gym nearby. We stayed in a room at the back of the building, so we didn’t get any beach vibes or view. The rooftop is still under construction, and a mosque close by woke us up at 05:15 in the morning.

The hotel is close to the beach, but surfing is better a 5–10 minute walk along the beach where there are more surf spots. The owner is extremely hospitable. I liked that at this price they provide a beach towel. There’s a kitchen where you can cook. Shower accessories are missing, but that’s expected for this type of accommodation. Breakfast is typical: 2 eggs, toast, jam, fruit. The bed is very uncomfortable, squeaks, and you sink into the center of the mattress, but you can still sleep. Those are the main drawbacks, I guess. Also, the morning prayer is clearly audible at 5 am.
