The room above the pub was lovely: clean, spacious, quiet, with a large, comfortable bed and a good bathroom that seemed newly refurbished; everything was very nice. I arrived after dinner and left early, so I missed breakfast, but I did have a pint in the bar where many people were still eating, which suggests the food was good.

The room was a decent size with an en‑suite; breakfast and supper were plentiful and the staff were the most pleasant. However, there was a crack in a window pane, a curtain that could not be drawn, and the lock on the en‑suite sliding door somehow locked us out. It was a little pricey for the standard.
