For a city trip to Hasselt, De Groene Hendrickx is a great location. It’s in the centre and you get a good room with a decent bed, friendly staff, and a decent breakfast for the price. The breakfast choices are limited compared to the extensive buffets at a Der Valk or NH hotel, so it’s a bit less satisfying.

The staff were super friendly, the breakfast was delicious and very helpful, and the location was perfect.

The reception was quick and friendly, but checkout was at 11 am. From 10 am the cleaning crew entered the room twice to start tidying, and after I asked them to wait twice more, they ended up wiping the windows through the balcony of the neighboring room.

It’s a nice location and very clean, but the bed was terrible; you could feel the springs of the mattress.
