The price‑to‑quality ratio was good, the room was clean, and breakfast offered variety, but the window in my room had no curtain and a gap between the glass and wood let anyone inside see in; the bathroom was separated by a drywall that didn’t reach the ceiling, so sounds and smells from the bathroom spread into the room; the room door was warped and required a lot of force to close; a staff member knocked on my room several times at 9 am asking for my car key because, supposedly, my car was blocking another car’s exit (my car was actually parked on the street, not at the lodge, and wasn’t blocking anyone); I would not return.

The breakfast was great with the monkeys and birds, the staff were courteous, the neighbourhood was quiet, and the room was very simple but the bedding was comfortable; the lodge is a bit out of the way (30 min on foot from the historic centre).

The lodge is pretty, very clean, and close to the Historic Centre (5 min by car); the breakfast is varied and matches the price of the stay; the staff are very helpful and polite; owner David welcomed us warmly and gave great city tips; we stayed for a week and it was very pleasant.
