Botafogo was a great spot, especially during Carnaval, though be ready for a lot of stairs. The apartment had a simple but functional kitchen, two bathrooms and a shower that worked well for five, a large living room, and daily cleaning. Luciana was fantastic—very hospitable and gave useful safety tips. The only downsides were the low kitchen water pressure and slightly firm beds, but they didn't ruin my sleep.

The place had solid amenities—air‑conditioned bedroom, lockable cupboards, a decent kitchen with blender, microwave, stovetop, oven, air fryer, fridge, plus two toilets and a shower that were plenty for five. Daily cleaning and a gated street made me feel safe, and towels and linens were provided. The only gripe was the weak water pressure in the kitchen and bedroom sink.

The building feels like a little seaside village, and the neighbors are friendly. The location is convenient.
