The animals and the friendly reception staff were great, but the trash isn’t emptied automatically—you have to ask the front desk. The whirlpool in the spa area was rusty and there were a lot of spiders in the lounge outside. Otherwise, everything was top.

The room faced the dining hall, so there was no window to the outside. It felt quite warm, and the only fan in the room was the one we had; the staff said no more were available. We noticed that another vacant room did have a fan, and we were allowed to use that instead.

The facilities inside and out were nice, with plenty for a family with kids, and the staff were wonderful. The atmosphere was relaxing. I recommend it! However, the notices about shortages, such as “bubbla vatten ingår bara vid lunch” during dinner or that playing billiards costs extra, felt dull, unnecessarily stingy, and off-putting.

The rural setting was lovely, but the hotel rooms were noisy. The summer buffet we had didn’t taste very good.

The place was cozy, but the room was hot and it was hard to cool down after a warm summer day. There was no small fridge or kettle.
