A great hotel at a low price. You won’t find anything better than 300‑400 rupees. Rain Penesianan is my favorite!

The room sits inside a traditional Balinese family compound (karang) surrounded by greenery, practically living with the family in a fenced courtyard. It’s well maintained and welcoming. The staff are incredibly kind and make a difference. Remember to order breakfast the night before for the next day, specifying the time, and they’ll have it ready either outside the room or in front of the reception where there are tables for guests. If you leave early, ask for the boxes; they’ll prepare the chosen dish and a coffee to take away. The driver charges a fair price for airport transfers. The room is cozy, but the bathroom cleanliness could use a bit more attention. Overall it’s sufficient.
