A warm welcome and a tidy room were all I needed; the basic setup was fine and they even offered coffee.

Albergue San Nicolás, a boutique hostel in Logroño’s historic center, blends rustic charm with modern comforts. Sound‑proofed rooms feature parquet floors, air‑conditioning, and free WiFi, while a communal lounge, kitchen, and tour desk cater to travelers. Guests enjoy city views from the ground floor, a shared shower, and easy access to La Rioja Museum, the Co‑Cathedral, and the train station.

Everything was fantastic. Nothing to complain about.

The place is great, pretty new and clean, and the owner is very friendly. I shared a room with a roommate who snored loudly, but that’s not the hotel’s fault. I’d suggest a separate room for women.

Everything was very clean and organized. The night was quiet, which is appreciated in a hostel. The bunk beds have curtains and individual lights, giving privacy and allowing you to read without bothering anyone. The staff are friendly and attentive. You can actually make dinner or coffee. The only downside is that the ladder to the upper bunk is a bit awkward, but that’s understandable given the host’s older age.

The location is perfect, right in the historic center, just steps from the Santiago church and Laurel street. Every time I used the bathroom it was clean, which surprised me; there were several bathrooms and showers available, which is great. The shower works well. The beds come with mattress and pillow covers made from disposable hospital sheets, which are good, but I recommend buying small covers from sportswear shops to keep the mattress clean if you’re uneasy about using someone else’s bed. The beds are separated by curtains, giving enough privacy and darkness if someone turns on the light at night. You can turn on the light inside without disturbing anyone. Excellent price‑value balance. Highly recommended.
