“We had stayed at this hotel 2 yrs ago at it was excellent. If they called the room in advance of arrival, it would’ve be”

The place was very clean, but the AC was off in the room and it was extremely hot; we arrived at 10:30 PM and it took three hours for the room to cool. We had told them our arrival time. They insisted on cash payment instead of credit card, and after checkout they demanded an extra $20 for the peso‑to‑dollar conversion. If we could have used a credit card, we wouldn’t have had this problem.

“Good location, smelly drains.”

The place is in a good spot and the rooms are spacious. The first room we got had a broken toilet, so the staff moved us to another room across the hall. That new room, which we used for the kids, had a persistent bad smell—probably from the drains.

The room was a nice size, the location was convenient, and the staff were friendly. The kitchen had old furniture, and the fridge had a terrible odor.

The location was fantastic, the rooms were large and clean. We had been told we could arrive early, so we took an earlier ferry, but when we got there they wouldn’t hand us the key.
