The breakfast was hearty, varied, and high quality, and the host’s attentiveness was a highlight; nothing to add.

The host’s warm welcome and excellent breakfast, the bathroom’s cleanliness, and the many products provided by the host were all commendable.

The B&B Maison was very close to the tram line, so the location near Le Man centre and the Cathedral was superb; our stay was satisfactory. Madame was very hospitable to my husband and me, and she chatted pleasantly with my French stepson when he came to visit for the day. The value for money was good. The stairs to the top floor (2 flights) in the attic area were very difficult for my husband, who has a heart condition, and for me, who has osteoarthritis in my joints, especially my knees. The bed was a small double and very low. There were no tea‑making facilities like those found in UK hotels and B&Bs, so we had to bring our own kettle, mugs, and drinks. Otherwise the room was fine with an adjoining bathroom. Breakfast was basic: orange juice, fried egg, bread, brioche, ryvitas, small tomatoes, a few grapes, cheese and ham for my husband, and the coffee was lovely. I had my own Weetabix cereal because I don’t like bread, and an apple compote. Parking was very difficult; none was available outside when we arrived on Sunday afternoon, so my husband had to park 10 minutes away. We eventually found a space outside the house on our last night. The next morning we both felt rushed out, which annoyed me because I can’t be hurried due to my arthritis. Will we come again? No, sorry, because of the stairs and the small low bed.

The host welcomed us warmly, the breakfast was tasty, we could park for free, and the city was close by—nothing to complain about.
