The place was clean, but despite claims of friendliness the atmosphere was noisy; the roommates made a lot of racket and seemed to have no sense of rules, shouting loudly while everyone else was trying to sleep.

A male‑only hostel where you’ll meet Taiwanese tourists and locals; the Taiwanese guests are very kind, so it’s a good pick if you want to mingle with them. However, it’s not suitable at all for anyone looking to relax in a hostel‑style room, and it sits on the opposite side of the station from Tainan’s main tourist area, although you might enjoy the nearby schools and a side of Tainan that tourists rarely see.
