The hotel is a modest eco spot with a beautiful location, quiet, no traffic noise, no shouting people, just calm. The shower water is warm! And they speak flawless French, English, and Spanish. A real recommendation. I only booked for one day, which is a pity.

The property was just wonderful and everything felt exactly where it should be. You’ll feel a great sense of tranquility and the host and his family are incredibly friendly! The food was amazing and he gave some very good recommendations for places to visit in Nicaragua. I would definitely recommend it and come back!

It was the best accommodation we’ve had in Nicaragua so far; we travel through the country often and have stayed at several good places. At Gilbert we felt taken care of from all angles. Breakfast was very tasty and always came with a small surprise. Gilbert also prepares a delicious dinner. The little Cabaña is simply charming, has everything you need and is very well maintained. The car is parked on the private fenced area. The scenery is beautiful, with a view of the mountains.
