We spent one night at a property right next to the station and the Herkulaneum, making it ideal for day trips. The building is old, but the rooms and bathrooms are beautifully renovated and spotless. A small balcony lets you watch street life, though it can be relatively loud at night because of the main street. With windows closed and the air‑conditioner on, sleep is great. The room has a mini‑fridge, water and coffee maker. The Italian breakfast is available across the street at a small café. The landlord responds quickly to messages, and check‑in was flexible via a key box. Unfortunately, we had to leave the next day, and the landlord arranged a reliable, friendly taxi to the airport. For our next vacation, we’d choose the quieter, more relaxed town of Ercolano (instead of Naples) to base ourselves for sightseeing.
