The staff were friendly and the breakfast was decent for the price, with rye/light bread, cold cuts, pickles, boiled eggs. However, special diets weren’t considered—no lactose‑free, gluten‑free, or other options, though that didn’t affect us. Porridge had to be made with a kettle. The linens were poor, the pillow was bad and wobbly. The stairwell was dirty; a rail between the stairs and wall had never been vacuumed and was full of dust, sand and other debris. The building and room had stale indoor air and a bad odor. The room’s bright fluorescent light was harsh and there was no proper night light. Street sounds of mopping, flickering pub lights next door, and other noises seeped into the room. The rooms were largely original 1970s units; the original toilet mat was disgusting, the floor drain slopes were steep and could cause slips or falls. The wallpaper and ceiling looked original too. The double bed kept separating itself, leaving a gap between the mattresses.

Cheap local lodging close to services, but there was no parking. The breakfast was really mediocre.

“Nice place to stay and sleep well !!!”

I was thoroughly impressed with my stay, from the moment I walked in. The room was spotless and equipped with everything I needed, and the staff had thoughtfully left an envelope with helpful information and my room keys. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable, and the value for money was exceptional – I couldn't hear a peep from the corridor or any other noise in the evening or during the night.
