We were alone in the cabin on one of the coldest June days, with icy roads, rain and snow all day long; it would have felt better with a sunny, warm day. The spot was good for watching the Asbyrgi canyon, and we had the kitchen all to ourselves, complete with cooking fires, a kettle, a microwave, a fridge, salt, oil and utensils.

The facilities were solid, with a hot pool and comfortable beds, but the view was disappointing.

The only bright spot was that we were the sole occupants that night. The room was tiny, dirty, and lacked a window curtain; we were asked to remove our shoes, yet the floor under the bed was full of dirt and dust. The bathroom was pitiful and smelled like manure.
