The ambience was lovely, the room was well furnished, the staff were very accommodating, and the breakfast area was nice.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the main town centre and attractions. The bed was very comfy, but it would have been better if it hadn't been two single mattresses pushed together. The place looked nice, but we wouldn't call it a 5‑star hotel; the decor and facilities didn't match that rating (for example, the shower head was attached to the shower screen with a suction holder instead of being wall‑mounted, the bathroom blinds were visibly dirty or stained, the toilet seat was too small for the toilet, some plug sockets were broken, and tiles were cracked). The rooms are very close together, so the noise from people coming and going is very loud.
