The location was easy to get to and the pub food was good in the evening. The room was shabby and tired, situated by the pub car park so there was noise from people coming and going via cars. The beds were uncomfortable, and breakfast was only available on Saturdays and Sundays.
“Friendly staff but noise & lack of fresh air in the room means we won't return”
The staff were friendly and the food was good, but the windows in the room don’t open and the main issue was people sitting outside and enjoying themselves loudly until midnight, making sleep impossible.
There was very little to like, and we couldn’t leave because we were going to a local party. The room was grubby, the light didn’t work, the photos don’t reflect the room, the bathroom was damp and mouldy, the toilet was blocked and backed up into the bath, there was no proper security, and the bar area was dirty with sticky floors.

The bed was comfy and clean, but the room wasn’t sound‑proofed.

The location was great and the evening dinner was very good; we were made to feel very welcome and the staff were lovely. The website was incorrect and not up to date. You can pay by card, but the rooms were not in the opposite stable block and breakfast was available. We were above the bar, so some noise filtered up, especially on a Friday night when it was very busy, and the main light did not work.
