“Best experience in Luxor!”
When we arrived the place was spotless and well maintained. The balcony offered a stunning view of the countryside. We stayed for three days; on the first two days we had activities lined up, yet the host still prepared breakfast for us. The breakfast featured a generous selection of homemade organic Egyptian dishes. One day we were exhausted and stayed in, so he cooked for us again, and it was truly excellent—he’s a fantastic chef! On the third day we arranged a packed itinerary with him: a sunrise hot‑air balloon, a tour of a banana plantation, a sunset river boat ride, and local cuisine—all for a great price. Those experiences were a highlight of our trip and a must‑do in Luxor. After dinner, locals lit a campfire and invited us to sit and chat for hours. He then took us on his motorcycle along the west bank of Luxor, narrating the history of every monument, even the ones we’d already seen, with a passion only a true local could have. Every request we made was fulfilled—he knew someone or went out of his way to arrange it. Our only regret is that we didn’t join him on the first two days and explore on our own.
