Since my daughter was driving, the transport was fairly convenient. As soon as I entered the room I noticed the bathroom light wouldn’t turn on; after reporting it, someone came quickly to replace the bulb. The TV couldn’t stream Netflix; the staff tried to help but it still didn’t work, even after setting it up at night, and they offered to move me to a downstairs room, which I declined. The staff’s initiative is commendable. If there were a desk next to the bed it would be easier to keep glasses and phones while sleeping, otherwise I’d have to walk away from the bed to the desk, which is inconvenient. The room is spacious enough that adding another desk and chair would make it more thoughtful for those who need to work on a computer. Since the upstairs has a change of indoor slippers but no shoe cabinet, putting shoes on the slipper rack feels dirty, so I left them on the floor; later I saw people put their shoes on the slipper rack and others take slippers outside… clearer signage would help.

The bed is very comfortable, the room is roomy, and the first floor has a public area with utensils, which is handy. It’s about a 3‑minute walk from the lively market and there’s a 7‑11 nearby, so breakfast is never a problem. Getting to the Taiping Cloud Ladder is easy, and the 107 shuttle bus stop is close. The bathroom drainage is a bit poor.
