The hotel feels like a classic Indian spot with genuinely friendly, pleasant, and helpful staff, and a nod to the guards we rarely see. The pool is decent and would be great if there were mattresses on the loungers and umbrellas. Laundry service is very tidy. I think renovation work would improve the stay for foreigners; the air‑conditioning sometimes smells of oil and is noisy, yet if it’s off the humidity lingers in the room. The room décor feels a bit dated, and windows can’t be opened to freshen the air. Despite these points, we had a good stay.

The location is close to the temples. The hygiene was poor: the bathroom was unclean, and the room still smelled bad after housekeeping cleaned it. Even getting plates and spoons took an hour, and we had to call the staff repeatedly. Breakfast offered very few choices and the food wasn’t very tasty. The room‑service menu had very few options and closed at 10:30 pm.

Breakfast was okay and the location was good, but renovations were underway and the paint smell was strong. I needed more towels, more toilet paper, and the toilet seat was broken.
