The room had a bed, but I woke up many times at night because I think rats were clawing around the roof and walls. From outside the window I saw a hole in the roof with slate damage that might be how they got in, and the noise kept me from sleeping. There were no photos of the room in my booking, and the actual room looked nothing like the pictures. The bathroom had mould and a mouldy smell, and the toilet brush was dirty when I arrived. The toilet and bedroom were dusty, the floor under the bed wasn’t clean, and there were hairs everywhere. The blind was useless—it’s the wrong type for a slanted window, so if you’re a light sleeper you’ll be woken by sunlight because you can’t close it.
