“Muy sorprendente y agradable”

I wanted to leave a review because before arriving I had read several quite negative comments about this accommodation, and I think it’s also important to share when the experience turns out to be good. In our case we had absolutely no problems and our stay was very positive. The first thing I’d highlight is the service. From the very first moment we were treated superbly and the staff were very attentive throughout our stay. They even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of wine in the room, even though we hadn’t ordered it, and they gave us breakfast for free. They were also on top of us at all times, recommending places, explaining things about the area, and helping with any questions we had. Regarding cleanliness, we found everything very clean and well‑maintained. During our stay they cleaned the room, made the bed, changed the towels, and restocked the supplies as we used them. They even washed the dishes we used. We had no issues with that. The location was another strong point. It’s literally about three minutes from the beach and very close to the city centre, with restaurants, shops, and all kinds of services around. For us it was super convenient and allowed us to walk around the area almost all the time. Finally, the pool is very nice and adds even more charm to the place. In short, I wanted to share my experience because after reading some opinions before I went, I had some doubts, and it turned out to be the opposite. We were very comfortable, treated well, and had no negative experiences. Personally, I would definitely come back. We did report an issue because the TV wasn’t working and the staff member came to fix it at 8 am. Even though we were already awake because we had an excursion, I think it’s not very pleasant for guests staying to rest to have someone come into the room at that hour to fix something. I believe it would be better to agree beforehand with the guest when staff can come. Nevertheless, it was a one‑off and otherwise our experience was very good.

We were welcomed very warmly. Before check‑in we could leave our luggage at the hotel and go sightseeing, and the same after check‑out. The location is fantastic, close to the port. Shops, bus stops, restaurants are all a few minutes away. The hotel has a rooftop pool and large sun loungers. The room was clean, cleaned daily, had towels, toiletries, and a hair dryer. The beds were very comfortable. The linens were fresh. We had a fridge. A bottle of wine awaited us on arrival, and there were glasses. On the fifth floor there were laundry dryers. The hotel itself was quiet and peaceful. The staff were extremely polite, and reception was 24/7. We had the opportunity to have breakfast, which was decent. Very pleasant hotel. I recommend it.

What we liked most was the location… perfect… we were basically in the centre of Sliema, two steps from the ferries to Valletta and Gozo/Comino for the blue lagoon… I initially thought I would move around with Bolt or Uber, but I never used them and we always moved with the bus, you could get anywhere in a short time and the wait times for the bus were about 5 minutes. We will definitely come back. The hotel breakfast you can skip… We never had it and it’s better that way… Mediterranean breakfast and not international and the croissants are the packaged ones (the boxes, to be clear) so you can skip it, also because just around the corner you have McDonald’s and Starbucks (great coffee oddly 😂).

The staff was very friendly. Location is even better than when initially booked. Close to the ferry to Valletta and public transportation. Restaurants and stores close by. Towels and toiletries were exchanged daily. Good breakfast on site
