Budget Small Room

I had no positives to mention. First of all, finding the right location was difficult. When we contacted the owner, he was unfriendly and unclear. Eventually he threw the horn on it. After a while of searching, we called back. We found the correct location via FaceTime. It already looked untidy from the outside, let alone when we entered. Very small, dirty, it smelled. The toilet and bathroom were shared but there was almost no space to go to the toilet. We felt immediately uneasy and booked a hotel at ibis that same evening. What a difference in reception, friendliness, and hygiene when we arrived there. Happy with that choice 😊

“Mit Vorsicht zu genießen!”

The bus stop is near the apartment. Toilet paper and parking were available. Unfortunately the room was dirty, the furniture was shabby and the bedding had a slight musty smell. We had to wipe the wardrobe first so we could put our stuff in it with a good feeling because it was so dirty. There was a fridge that froze our food more than cooled it. Otherwise the only thing provided was toilet paper and just one towel for two people to share (4 nights). In the bathroom there was no towel to dry hands and we had to buy soap ourselves. The bathroom was constantly flooded by the people living there. One had to either wipe it dry or could only enter with flip‑flops. A sewage smell came from the drain. There was no trash can in the bathroom or our room. There was also no place to hang coats. We got our own hangers and hung them in the broken wardrobe (the wardrobe door was standing next to the wardrobe and a shelf was on the floor. We first made the wardrobe usable so we could use it). The host was rather unfriendly and impatient at our arrival. He mentioned that a kitchen was available. It was however very dirty and full of cockroaches. The kitchen could not be used because of the poor hygiene. On the last morning before departure, our room neighbour tried to break into our room at 5am. All together a scary experience.

“I wouldn't book there again”

The room was ok and the bed comfortable. It was only a short walk from the bus stop. The TV was as advertised. When I arrived I couldn't access the property. I had not been sent any instructions regarding keys etc. I had to ring several times before anyone picked up and the person initially had no idea that I was booked in. Once I gained access, I found that the promised towel was not in the room. It was one of the hottest days of the year and I needed a shower. Again, it took a long time to contact the owner and even longer before I got a towel delivered. The bathroom and kitchen were dirty. There were insects crawling in the kitchen cupboards and the only cutlery were a couple of teaspoons and knives. The kettle was dirty and the bin was overflowing, although it was emptied during my stay. There were no bins in the room or bathroom. There was a strong smell of sewage in the location, although the room didn't smell
