Staying in a castle was a highlight, but overall it felt a bit untidy.
The room and location were absolutely phenomenal, but the hot water was a bit sporadic.
“Sognare in un castello sospeso nel tempo”
The historic ambience and staff availability were great, but I think the breakfast could use a bit more savory options.
“Bellissimo, ti fa sentire una principessa”
The location is spectacular and very atmospheric; the place is pet‑friendly, rooms are roomy and comfortable, and the staff are very kind, but when the kitchen is in use, the smell of fried food drifts right into the rooms.
The setting, the vibe inside and around the building, and the restaurant (dinner) were all very friendly and attentive; the downside was that it was unbearably hot outside (and in the rooms) and they only offered a mobile fan; breakfast was typical Italian, limited in choice, no bread or cheese, lots of sweets; the bathroom had some flaws, it wasn’t exactly “new” but that added charm—so it’s a trade‑off between charm & atmosphere and comfort.
