The Riad in the center of the Medina was beautiful, making everyday essentials very convenient and walking to many tourist attractions a breeze. The host, Ali, was kind, polite, and always answered any questions we had. Definitely recommend this Riad.
The location is very good, the air conditioning works wonderfully, and Ali who greeted us and the lady who prepares the breakfasts were very friendly. The breakfast was good. It’s normal to find this in Morocco, but the toilet with the shower above is quite uncomfortable and annoying for hygiene reasons. Also, the toilet is loose and moves a lot.
The location was great and the breakfast was superb! Everyone was very friendly and helpful, and we’ll definitely come back.
“Terrible Internet a la 1999. Not a True Riad.”
Worst place we stayed in Morocco. The King should shut this "Riad" down as simply an embarrassment to Morocco and force the family to spend the substantial money to fix this. Just deceptive to call this a "Riad". Awful Internet. Just crap slow and unreliable. This is 2026. Step back to 1999 Internet. Terrible structure. This is a former home for the family that owns it, converted into a rental. It is not a true riad with rooms on each floor, entering onto separate common areas on each floor. Could not be a worse design for any rental. The sound in the "courtyard" (really the living room of) the first floor unit reverberates up to the rooms on the 2d and 3d floor units. As a result, the people on the first floor don't have a living room privacy; people in the 2d and 3d floor can see them! The apartments on the 2d and 3d floors don't have peace from whatever is transpiring on the 1st floor. There is 1 of the 2 bedrooms on the first floor where there is loud, gurgling sound all night and day in the wall. What is positive? Ali is a genial guy who will greet you and smile. Location is reasonable distance from the outside wall of the medina and reasonably close to the Grand Bazaar. The family members must not want to invest the substantial money to fix any of this. So, they send Ali out to smile and apologize. We read the and, in good faith, believed the misleading listing. We prepaid for 2 nights--on 1 floor--at the start of our trip to Morocco and 2 nights on the ground floor at the end of our trip to Morocco. As a result of jumping at the discount for prepaying, we stayed in 2/3 of the rooms in "Riad". Air conditioning machines on the upper floor unit we stayed in worked. Air conditioning machines on the ground floor are just a joke. Many things
“Geräumige Wohnung, leckeres Frühstück”
I stayed in the heart of the Medina/Old Town and the rooftop breakfast spread was generous; the air conditioning worked well. The shower and toilet shared a single room, the shower head kept leaking, the parking lay outside the Old Town, and the host was absent when we arrived.
