Hotel Hermitage

Good breakfast and a discount at the hotel restaurant. I was assigned a room with a view of the back of the hotel (garages, construction work, etc.) and the neighboring residences, even though there were empty rooms of the same category with views of a square and tourist spots like El Fuerte and the surrounding mountains, which the booking notice claimed had interesting views. When I asked for a room change, they refused, and the next day when I complained again (the rooms in front of mine were still unoccupied), the explanations given were unsatisfactory. In the room, the Wi‑Fi signal was very spotty.

The staff were very attentive and friendly. The hotel is close to the city center and tourist spots, and the area feels very quiet and safe. Breakfast is included; it’s not the best or most varied, but it covers the basics. However, the facilities need upkeep. The room didn’t have a bad smell, but disinfectant lingered, and the floor looked dirty. The sink, toilet, and bidet had rust stains, and the toilet rim showed heavy use. The shower lacked cleanliness, and the TV remote didn’t work.

I liked the location and the breakfast was very complete. The room felt a bit cold.

The service, room temperature, mattresses, and breakfast were all great. The bathroom was a bit small, and accessing the parking lot was a bit awkward.

The location and staff were good. The hotel is super old, there isn’t even a single extra outlet to charge a phone, the room is very small, the bathroom even leaked water, and the towels had holes.
