“Fab location for exploring Valentia & surrounding coast”

All the staff were so helpful and friendly, both at Reception (thanks Rene) and in the bar (especially Anya & Emily). We were there when Storn Austen hit, so we spent early evenings in the bar by the roaring evocative peat fire! Their chef served fantastic, tasty, high‑quality meals on both nights. Breakfasts were good too with plenty of choice. The view from our room (Room 9) overlooked a flat roof and bits of big machinery, and the shower was lukewarm.

We were upgraded for our wedding anniversary. Magnificent large room with a view of the port. The hotel is very warm and typical, with lots of wood. The staff are attentive, and the restaurant is very good. A must‑stop.

I stayed near the Ring of Kerry, and Portmagee was really nice. The included breakfast was awesome, but finding street parking was a real hassle, and my room was on the back side with a view of a building roof instead of the harbor.

I was welcomed warmly, but the seafood selection was limited and the back room faced noisy kitchen extractors.
