A fantastic, privately run place with heart, located in the well-known Schanzenviertel in Hamburg. The breakfast is wonderfully made, individually prepared, and very reasonably priced. Nothing to complain about.

The reception was very friendly and the coordination for arrival and check‑in was exemplary. The paid, reserved parking spot in the courtyard across the street was perfect. The room was clean, just the right size, nicely furnished, with a comfortable bed and pillows; the bathroom was generally fine, though I couldn’t understand the unblacked‑out window that might give the upstairs neighbor a peek, so privacy was lacking and a bathroom visit turned into an involuntary pee‑show. The shower curtain in the bathroom sticks everywhere it shouldn’t, a reminder of shared‑flat days from 30 years ago; installing a shower cabin would be a cheap upgrade that would greatly improve the experience.
