The place offers great value for money, being close to the station, Yamato Museum and within walking distance of Kure’s street stalls; as a business hotel it’s clean and very economical. The only drawback was the lower of the two toaster ovens in the breakfast area, which took ages to toast anything—likely a broken thermostat that shut off the heat instantly—and although I mentioned it to the staff, I never saw any fix.

The layout was excellent, compact and clean, making the room very pleasant to use and I’d stay again, but the view from the window was rather disappointing.

Being close to the station and getting a welcome drink plus free breakfast made the price feel like a bargain, but it was a shame there was no sea view.
