I stayed with a genuine Georgian family, where Pata and his wife welcomed me like a member of their own household, arranged a very affordable private transfer to the Vardzia caves, and let me taste authentic Georgian cuisine. The room was spotless and tidy, and overall the experience was wonderful.

The hosts were very friendly and helped us with everything, even organizing a day trip to Sapara Monastery, Khertvisi Fortress, and Wardsia. They speak English, so communication was easy.

The welcome was fantastic, and I felt right at home immediately. The room was impeccably clean and very comfortable, located just three minutes from the castle and the city center.

The family is exceptional, warm, and helpful—father, sister, and the two little ones. The traditional Georgian house sits next to the bus station, and the people are charming. Nato made a fantastic homemade breakfast. We toured Vardzia, Khertvisi, Sapora, and the surrounding area with Paata, Nato’s husband, and had a great day. I’m very grateful to this family. Thank you so much for everything.

The location was good, close to Rabati castle. The room did not match the description; it was on the first floor with windows facing the street, which was very noisy. There was no backyard, and the room lacked toiletries except for soap. A coffee cup broke during cleaning and cut me, and the host demanded payment for the entire set, even though it was a cheap set from a general store.
