“Lovely homely guesthouse with incredibly kind and helpful staff in a great location.”
The staff were fantastic, upgrading our room and always ready to help, even removing feathers from the room because of my allergies. The view of the Orange River was stunning and the breakfast each morning was lovely, making for a great stay.

We liked the river location and the fact that we had secure parking. On the second night, however, there wasn’t enough secure parking on the property and we had to park on a dark street. There was no guest toilet on the premises, so when my friend needed to use the bathroom at 2 am with a stomach bug and vomiting, we had to go outside in the dark past gates, which was a real panic situation. Toilet paper is essential and they should not skimp on it. The coffee in the room was instant and the milk was powdered; we had to ask for real dairy milk, which they supplied. A coffee plunger with ground coffee would have been a nicer touch.

The river front was nice, but the open‑plan layout and bathroom in the bedroom were unacceptable. The bed linen was tired and not fresh, and the pillows needed replacement. The outside braai area wasn’t cleaned and the municipal dustbin was full. The pet monkey and the swimming pool light disturbed the bedroom lighting.
