The pool, breakfast, nice reception area, accommodating staff, and good location were all positives. However, street noise was audible, the AC could have been more updated, and it would have helped to know beforehand that parking was in the attached garage so guests could park there safely.

The staff were friendly and the price‑quality ratio was correct. The hotel is a 30‑minute walk from the charming old part of Funchal. It’s a nice location if you like hotel blocks, but we found the area less lively than the old quarter, even though there are many restaurants nearby.
The pool was a highlight. Nothing else was disposable.
